Amazon Photos · PREPARATION GUIDE
Bring your Amazon Photos downloads
Use downloaded copies from Amazon Photos. You do not need to connect your Amazon account to Memory Temple.
Open your Amazon Photos library
On your computer, sign in to Amazon Photos using the account that holds your media. Choose a manageable selection to begin with.
Select files and download
Select the photos and videos you want, choose Download and follow Amazon’s prompts. To get media from an album, open the album and select the items inside it. Amazon’s browser help does not offer an entire album as a downloadable album object.
Prepare the downloaded copies
If Amazon supplies ZIP files, extract them on your computer first. Keep any accompanying files and the folder structure. Check that a few downloaded photos and videos open normally.
Review and import when available
Once desktop imports open, sign in with your existing Memory Temple account. Select the downloaded files or an extracted folder, review the selection and remaining storage, then start the import.
Check before changing your Amazon library
Read the completed import report, resolve items needing attention and open representative originals. Keep your downloaded copies and Amazon library until you have checked the result.
Take your time. Keep your copies.
For a large desktop import, keep the browser open and the computer awake. Closing the browser or letting the computer sleep stops progress; uploading does not continue in the background.
If interrupted, return to the import area and reselect the same source files or folder. The source must be checked before saved progress can be reused.
Review available account storage before starting. Check the completed import report and open representative originals before deleting any source copies. There is no need to rush this last step.
