Memory Temple (“the app”) is developed by Illimitable AI (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Memory Temple mobile application.

Memory Temple is a private, personal memory system supported by an AI assistant named Limi. The app helps you capture and organise your memories, photos, audio, videos, notes, and related information securely.

2. What Information We Collect

Memory Temple collects only the data required to operate the app safely and provide its features.

2.1. Information you add directly

This information is never shared unless you choose to share it.

2.2. Device permissions

To provide core features, the app may request access to:

• Photo & media library – to import existing photos/videos
  
• Biometrics (Face ID / Touch ID) – to protect private areas of the app
  

These permissions are used only for their intended purpose. We do not access or collect media unless you explicitly choose to upload it.

We may collect minimal diagnostic information to improve app performance, such as:

No behavioural tracking or advertising analytics are used.

3. How Your Data Is Stored

All user data is stored in a secure, private database powered by Supabase (PostgreSQL with Row Level Security). Every memory is tied only to your unique account.

Storage includes:

• Memory assets (photos, videos, audio)
  
• Embeddings (mathematical representations used for AI features)
  
• Auto-generated summaries
  
• Cluster information
  

Media files are stored in a private Supabase Storage bucket with signed URL protection, meaning they cannot be accessed publicly.

Local device storage is used temporarily for caching and is protected by the device’s operating system.

4. How Your Data Is Used

We use your data solely to provide, improve, and personalise Memory Temple.

4.1. Memory organisation

Your data is used to:

• Group memories using AI clustering

• Detect themes or recurring concepts
  
• Enable search functionality
  
• Create insight cards in the app
  

4.2. AI processing

Some features use algorithmic processing to provide insights. This may include:

AI outputs are based only on your data. Nothing is used to train external models.

4.3. Security features

Biometric authentication is used to protect sensitive areas (e.g., bills, secrets).
Biometric data is never sent to us—processing remains entirely on your device.

4.4. Syncing

Your data is synced with Supabase so it remains available if you reinstall the app or switch devices.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, share, or monetise your personal information.

Your data is only shared with:

5.1. Supabase (data hosting provider)

Used for secure storage and authentication.
All data is processed under GDPR-compliant terms.

5.2. Optional integrations (future)

If you choose to enable integrations (e.g., health data, calendar, Google Photos), the app may request these permissions.
These will always be optional and covered by additional consent.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

As a user based in the United Kingdom / EU, you have the right to:

You can request a copy of all your data stored in Memory Temple.

You can edit or update your memories at any time.

6.3. Delete your data

You may delete individual memories or your entire account.

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• All memories
  
• All media
  
• All embeddings
  
• All AI summaries
  
• All links and metadata
  

Deleted data cannot be recovered.

6.4. Withdraw permissions

You can revoke camera/microphone/photo access at any time via your device settings.

6.5. Lodge a complaint

You may contact the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) if you feel your rights are being affected.

7. Children’s Privacy

Memory Temple is not directed at children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect data from children.

If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove the data immediately.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including:
